The senior managers of each company were joined at the ceremony by the distinguished guests of the Saudi government, including the Deputy Minister, His Excellency Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti, Environment, Water and Agriculture, and the delegation, Eng. The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, in addition to the Consul General of the United States in Jeddah, Faris Asad, and the Commercial Adviser, Julie LeBlanc.
The association is well positioned to help sustainably meet the kingdom’s growing demand for poultry, while supporting the kingdom’s food security and economic growth goals. The companies discussed the growing halal food market and the opportunities it provides to unlock the future growth of the association. The two companies also discussed future expansion plans to increase the manufacturing capacity of Supreme Food Processing Company. Under the partnership agreement, Tyson Foods and Tanmia will jointly invest in the expanded processing capacity. The expansion is expected to bring Supreme Foods Processing’s total production capacity to approximately 100,000 metric tons per annum.
